Chapel Hill, NC 919 - 338 - 2769 More Changes for the New Year The beginning of the New Year brought on some changes for The Night Riders. Just after we were invited back to play at The University Inn in Chapel Hill we received word from our Lead Guitarist, Barry Briggs that it would not be possible for him to continue the New Year with us. Barry was a Night Rider for almost 2 years, during that time he has been in the process of planning, building and opening a recording studio. All of Barry’s hard work paid off as 2011 came to a close. He is now recording and publishing from his new studio in Siler City, “Carolina Sound Music Publishing”. Barry is very talented as a lead guitarist, bassist and vocalist. Barry will be missed, but we wish him well as he continues with BTPB and his new endeavor, “ Carolina Sound Music Publishing.” Were we Lucky or What !?!? Amazingly. . within a few days of receiving Barry’s notice, we were very fortunate to be introduced to our new Lead Guitarist, Mike Quinn (call him “Q”). Mike comes to us from the Raleigh/Cary area and has been playing guitar since elementary school. Mike has graced the stage as a member with such bands as “Time Machine” and the CBMA Award Winning “Al Williams Band”. “Q” is unique in his style and quick to pick up new material and will be a great addition to the Night Riders. . .as a side note Mike & Keith Pollard of The Carolina Breakers were band mates for about 5 years.. . .Please be sure to speak with Mike at our next event and welcome him to the Night Riders. Check him out on the "About us Page". Please check us out on Face Book (Night Riders Musicians/ Band) and PLEASE, like, recommend and share us with your friends. Thank you all for your support.
Thank you all for supporting Beach and Shag Music no matter who you vote for. Without a large general fan base this music would not be around. I ask you as beach/shag fans to continually support our radio stations, our DJs, our Shag Clubs and the venues where all of these events are held. I ask you to support the bands and artist who write, record and perform our music, for without them there would not be any music. Fans, bands, radio stations, clubs, DJs and venues must all work together for the music to continue a generation further. The next time a band playing beach/shag music performs at a place near you, even if it is not your favorite band, or favorite venue, or favorite DJ, support it anyway, we and future generations will be better for it. . . . . Support the CBMAs ! ! ! . . . . For Ever and Ever IT WILL STAND ! ! ! Thanks and hope to see you all on the dance floor. . .SOON ! ! ! |

Please Continue to Call and Request
"Come on and Dance With Me" Previewed and expected by many DJs to do well on the Beach Music Charts and be a favorite among shaggers because of it's upbeat blues sound and rhythm, it first hit the Charts on 94.9 The Surf at #33 in North Myrtle Beach. A week later 94.9 left the air waves with this song never reaching it's potential popularity. Is it possible, that because of this, many listeners missed out on what could have been a truly great song within the shagging community ? If you think that might be the case, or if you would just like to hear this song on a more regular basis while in the OD area, or while listening on line, Please visit www.949thesurf.com and Request "Come on and Dance With Me" Released By KHP Music Group and Tobacco Roads Record Label On The Compilation CD "COME ON AND DANCE WITH ME" The Night Riders are proud to say that our newest release "Come On and Dance With Me" is the title track to this Project!!
